Pawnee,gage county, neb | Garvo, I'm not throwing your friend under the bus by no means, I'm just curious though if your friend knows he is going to lose $ farming this same ground this year & how he calculated corn or bean sales prices for next years crop, & to answer your ? As to why price inputs if might not have the ground to use them for.....you know as well as the majority of guys on here that deals can be made at practically any time through out the year for input costs, deals that if a guy was to lose a farm for some reason that you are not going to be out any $ as a result of not using the unneeded inputs, did your friend use cbot futures prices to calculate his projected revenue for the 2015 crop? No matter what he used to calculate. His projected revenue for 2015 it is only speculation unless he has already sold a considerable % of his 2015 crop which is highly unlikely & doubtful | |
