Subject: Why chart CBOT prices instead of cash?

West Central Alberta Coldest, wettest edge

Lots of discussion on here about how inaccurate CBOT is at discovering the correct price, and saying how basis is doing all the work.  But all the chartists are using CBOT, or spreads only, or basis only.  I haven't seen any charts for the net price at any given location.  Would that not be a more accurate picture of the market?  Or is the basis more a representation of fundamentals, and I am confusing fundamentals with technicals?  Has anyone tried charting the cash price, and what are the predictive abilities?
