Subject: YIELD REPORT FROM A "Fringe" STATE

Decaturville TN
I was at the JD dealership this week and a friend of mine who works there said, ride out and look at Mr xxxxx's corn that he is shelling so I did. I even rode with him in the combine and I was impressed. He has over 1000 acres irrigated and field one did 303 dry. Field two did 313 dry. The monitor (calibrated) was running from 275 to 341 in field three. Dekalb (6408 I think) avg pop of 38,000 with 320 units nitrogen. Moisture was 24-25%. Pretty dang good for TN dirt but a really good farmer. This was his best ever and I now wish I had asked what his normal yield was. I have a lot of drown out it mine but where it is good,it is good but nothing like his.
Two weeks ago my beans looked better than any other year but lots of SDS and 3 weeks with almost no rain have drastically trimmed their yield potential but I seem to be in a dry hole.
I believe there are going to be some record yields here this year. ( In a state that doesn't matter a whole lot). Have a safe harvest everyone!
