North Central Illinois | I'll say this again. We need to know what the yield history on this field is. That county has good dirt but every county has a section or two here and there that isn't up to par. If the best this field has ever done in the past is say 220 I would have to say that this yield is pretty significant. If this field has made 250 before then it kind of means this isn't a real big deal.
Your point about how this yield was measured is well taken. Yield monitors don't cut it for this. If they weighed several yield checks of full swaths across the field on a certified scale, then that is different. If that is what he says I will take him at his word. I am not going to ask anyone to post scale tickets online to prove a point. I don't think that is what you are asking either. | |
