Middle Tennessee | I definitely agree with you and John that dollar hegemony should not be assumed forever, and see the trends you observe. But I'll never forget images of billionaires fallen from Putin's grace, sitting in a cage with jumpsuit and shaved head in front of cameras. If China and Russia really wanted to shore up global capital, they would demonstrate progress in open markets, open societies, and confrontation of corruption (I know, there are issues on these fronts here too, but I'm speaking to degree). I've never been to either place, but I wonder how far things are advancing in these areas. | |
