Driftless SW Wisconsin

Here is the most recent slaughter sale from our local Bloomington, WI, Livestock Exchange:

------------------------

Results from Slaughter Sale:       Tuesday August 19th 2014

Cattle Sold:  1009 head

High Yielding Choice Beef Steers/Heifers:  155 ~ 158.75

Mixed Select/ Lower Yield Choice Beef Strs/ Hfrs:    148 ~ 154.50

-----------------------------------

If this is a beef breed heifer, has not been implanted and you know it has been well fed and finished, it should be worth a bit more to a freezer beef customer than sale barn fats. $1.60 on the hoof would not be out of line around here.
