Coles County, Illinois | I'm not sure how to get the software versions out of a serial cable version so maybe someone else could chime in. Both of mine are can versions. I do think that getting a good calibration is essential and the first place to start. It took me a few failed attempts before I realized that the closer to pointing due north when you begin, the better the calibration will work. I also believe turning around without backing up is better. When you get back to your flags for the axle, the numbers should turn white almost instantly. If they mess around and stay red for awhile then somethings not right. You may be close enough for the system to finally accept the calibration but it isn't a very good calibration. I'd just do another right away. For me it was realizing the roadway in front of the pole barn was not due north but was really 1.1 degrees. Once i adjusted my flags the calibration went quickly.
