| Try to get organic garlic at the store, or any garlic at a farmer's market if you find the bulbs for planting too expensive, as non-organic garlic is sometimes treated with radiation to prevent it from sprouting.
But garlic at the store is frequently infected with all sorts of diseases you don't want to introduce in your garden. I now live a few dozen miles from the French capital of pink garlic, Lautrec.
