Or you could just go to the grocery store and buy a few heads of garlic and then separate out the cloves and plant each of them. Garlic is pretty simple to grow, but do not let it go to seed or you will be finding volunteer garlic in your garden forever. If you don't use a lot of garlic you might as well just buy it as you need it.
