I was in that camp too, rub dirt in it it will get better. August 1st I had knee surgery to replace the plastic in my 8 month old replaced knee. Why, I got staff infection in it and that's the start to clean out and get rid of the infection. Been on IV drugs ever since. The 1st 20 days where hell. IV's twice a day 2 hours each, a pill morning and night and they were bad. Got so sick at the end I had to back to the hospital with a 103.5 fever to change PIKK line to the other arm and change drugs. Saturday night was the first time I felt better. Everything I ate or drank tasted like it had a table spoon of salt in it. In 23 days I lost 30 pounds! Did I say it sucked!! I will know more in the first week in September. I've heard of these infections, but now that I've had one, I hope NEVER again. So I'm saying just be careful.
