Now that many police around the country have military weapons, i.e. M16 full auto, armor, grenades, and even small tanks what will happen in a few years when all this equipment needs repairs?  Stuff they got for free now will be up to the taxpayer to keep it working won't it? 

That sounds like a pretty expensive deal to stop speeders and shoplifters in small town, Iowa etc.
