The only way you can work like that is if she's with you and has the same goals and drive.
We worked together everyday and had our kids near us all the time. I've never been yelled at for working too much, my wife would say we need to get this done.
We don't work very hard anymore but it was more fun working than not when we were young.
There's more to life than work.
