southern MN | Facetime is an apple only software product, it will do what you want. It comes on Mac computers, iPads, the bigger iPods, and iPhones. Only works with other apple devices.
Skype is the other common one, works with many different platforms, Windows, Apple, smart phones, etc. you need to call someone who also has Skype installed.
There are other free software that also does video phone over the Internet, lesser known. Some allow you to video conference, between 5 computers/phones....
Anyhow, you use the cameras on the computer/ tablet/ phone for the live feed. Most tablets and phones have a camera facing either way, you can pick the camera you want to use for the video call.
I find Facetime a tad easier to use, if everyone has an Apple product.
