Above a 24 foot diameter it starts getting a lot harder to keep things straight. I tried using my crane on a 36' once and quit because I thought it would bend the sheets. Use the jacks. This, from a crane owner should tell you something. I have used my crane on a corner where we were short a bin jack or two. That works great!
