Brazilton KS | I am the service manager in our shop. I "don't do anything" but as long as I do my job, lots of things get done. I'm the one that everyone turns to when they are stumped, or when a decision must be made that obviously has the potential for repercussions, or when it becomes apparent that a large expenditure is forthcoming. That's what the hgic is there for.
I find it difficult to understand the replies implying that a dealer shop is somehow magically different then any other business in this regard, or in regard to needing to cover payroll, utilities, tools, and the cost of facilities. My shop and tools did not just somehow magically appear, and our employees seem to enjoy being paid, too, and we have to have heat, light, and air pressure just like a dealer does. Most sizable farms have far more investment in overhead than any mechanic shop does, why would the owners of farms not be familiar with the need to cover overhead? |
