Canterbury Plains, New Zealand | I used to own a 7000 tractor with a 12' 972 and a 15' 942. Bought it like that, had the adapter arms already on. It lifted both those fronts fine, but always had the feeling that was about as much weight as she wanted. The adapter arms had no way to release the tension on the float springs when we got it, which made changing fronts kind of difficult. We made some sort of homemade bracket which overcentred the spring mount ( Cant remember excactly how it went ) Worked well after that. Hydraulics and PTO were set up same as on a 9000 tractor, so the fronts didnt need any mods. |
