Farm Plated trucks are exempt from road side inspections too. I dont know how it will work out for a portable weigh station but I was told you can drive around inspection stations. I think this whole thing would be pretty short lived without the Federal check to the state. Some farmer is going to pull out that dump truck he parked in the grove 15 years ago, and kill someone. I was told that is MN DOT wanted anymore fed grant money they had to adopt this program so who knows how long it will last.
