Subject: RE: International vs. Freightliner

Windom, MN
I like our freightliner with a 60 series detroit, but it is getting old. Its a 1998 model, but really like the truck for the short hauls we do. Longest haul is the bean plant in Fairmont, roughly 40 miles one way. The Detroit (12.7L) is fairly easy on fuel and it feels like it has more torque than the similar sized Mercedes the neighbors have that I drive on occasion.

Yeah, It rattles some and isn't probably as finished well as a pete or kenworth, but I'm not in it for hours at a time. The Internationals didn't seem to have the same leg room while we were looking, and being 6'3" and heavy, the cabs in the Internationals seemed smaller.

If I could do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing and would buy this truck again.
