I've used starters on soybeans since 2009.
"Here" planting in April guarantees so much disease that you will only have top end yield 1 out of 10 years.
My beans are waist high in 6 weeks without 30-50lbs of nitrogen. Why would I want to encourage more early growth that I would be able to control?
