Subject: Feeding calf out

Ne Nebraska

I have a 600 pound steer calf that I would like to fatten out to butcher for myself. How much cracked corn would you get it per day? It will be on free choice alfalfa. Can mix in protein if needed. It is currently grazing and is weaned. Could you give free choice prairie hey instead if that would be better.
