I had a bad turn with it 5 years ago where it just kept raining unexpectedly after I cut some. It was down probably over a week before I could get it baled and wrapped. Looked nasty and was dusty (seemed to mold in the field). The cows still liked it and didn't have any problems from feeding it. Raking and baling it really sucked, though.
