North Mo. | Several years ago we got a call from the Sheriff Dept. at 11:30 at night saying we had cattle out. I said " Ok where" at that time cattle where in 4 different places. Deputy said a certain street address and I said "Ok where is that as I had never heard of the street. Deputy says "well you own land joining said street. I said "OK I still need to know where it is". He told me who else joined that land then I realized where it was, crop ground only another rented it from me. I tell him I don't have cattle over there, he ask "who does" so I tell the other guy. Few days later was in the bank and ask his wife if they got a call close to midnight. She said " yes and IT WASN'T OUR COW EITHER.
But at least I got to go back to bed. Can't say that all the time. | |
