How warm are you keeping this? I got to thinking about it and we don't even use a heater in our offices until it gets below 25F outside. And then, the only reason is to keep it comfortable for changing clothes. The barn heat and the water passing thru keep it warm enough otherwise. Our offices are constructed within the hog building itself, 4" concrete over the pit, so since the pit stays warm that helps. The interior walls between office and hogs are insulated, mainly for sound. R50 attic, over the whole barn. We do have an entryway that keeps the outside wind away a little.

I really doubt this is costing you as much as you think.
