and maybe they have short positions on the board and are looking for a fall low so they can cash those position in and then go long - there is no way of knowing these things
Maybe some young kid who knows that the only way the markets go is higher and higher bid a ridiculous high rent and rented away his ground base and this will put the Young gun ( or even an old tiger farmer ) in the hurt bag.
there are many other reasons anybody's reasons for wanting grain prices were they hope they will go.
I often ask the question why so many believe that you can never pay to much to have control over land all the while complaining that grain prices are not high enough ??
