17 yo GY radial. That could go boom at just about any time. For that matter, so could any other 17 yo tire...
I think I'd just replace it. I mean.. you could patch it and get 10 years from it or you could get 10 minutes from it and then have to buy a new tire. I tend to be a bit of a pessimist when it comes to repairing old tires... especially tires that are not that expensive relatively speaking.
