Subject: Trip to Mt Rushmore

Northwest IL
Got back from the vacation yesterday. Took 20 to Waterloo Iowa then up to Mason City on 27/218. On to 35 north to Albert Lea then 90 west. Took same route home too. So who did I go by? Ben from Jesup Iowa you guys did have nice corn in your area. No EDSD didn't take that picture on a hill it looked rough through there. Main theme all the way there was too much rain or as Chicago boys say "rain makes grain". Any you guys along that way going to set record yields? My guess would be no maybe a few isolated spots or if you are really lucky and farm the good looking fields and the crappy ones are all your neighbors. Not impressed with the Minnesota corn crop. Even my wife and oldest kid every once in a while chimed in with phrases like "it was really wet there", "that don't look very good", and "that corn in not very tall". Definitely a mixed bag.
