East Central Ia | Sounds like she is no stranger to farm equipment. I don't see why not... We all had to learn from someone.
Just teach her to be safe and not to be afraid to call if she is not sure of something... Better safe then sorry.
What about mixing chemicals? That's the part that would give me pause. It can get pretty complicated depending on your programs and setup.
My wife is in the same boat, quit her day job at the start of summer to be home with the kids and help us out. I am also trying to figure out all the things she can and wants to do. So far it's mowing, cleaning and helping around the shop etc... But I do plan to put her in a tractor seat come harvest when the kids are back in school. Once she gets a better grasp of the farming life she will transition into the books as my mom desperately wants to be done with that job to focus on the grand kids lol!
