Subject: Soil Sampling service rate

SE Kansas
I am going to do some third party soil sampling on some dry land acres going to wheat this fall, roughly 1200 acres. The agronomist I am doing this for is letting me use one of his 4wheelers, gas, and he is handling the samples as far as preparing them for testing and all. What would be a reasonable rate to charge?
We thought about doing a per acre basis or an hourly rate of what I get paid at my current job on the farm of $16/hr. Is $.40/acre in the ballpark or????
