Subject: Two ears to a stalk & this long pollination period

Southern Wisconsin
Was walking a corn field this am in southern wi planted May 7 very uneven stand.I noticed alot of two ears per stalk. 2nd ear is a big one also. The later corn in this field is starting to pollinate now. In a normal year that 2nd NEVER amounts to nothing, and the last corn that is pollinating now is nothing more than a weed. However I have never seen pollination weather like this before. 70-80 degrees day after day perfect. Here we go IF we get timely aug rains IF there is enough nitrogen left (9 inches of rain in june) IF we get enough heat units to finish. IF jack frost stays away till the middle of Oct. We will be harvesting a hugh crop. IF not our crop could still be a disaster. Gee I guess I knew all this when I planted this corn. IF is a big word. The only thing I know for sure is we will have some fat racoons around here this fall because of this long pollination lol. Any comments?
