Subject: Farming the Nebraska sandhills

Devils Lake, ND

I flew over the area yesterday. Lotsa range and pasture. Google research indicated the aquifer goes that far north. Is the ground just THAT sandy it can't be leveled, irrigated and farmed? And no question it's sandy. Google maps shows plenty of blowouts.

Just trying to learn something here.
