I think you describe most farmers spot on (not all).  We are an independant sort.

But let me say this to you and the original poster.
It's time you realize you shoul be "living"  not just makeing a living.

Hire the guy, and remember he needs to have a life too. Slavery went out
a long time ago. Pay him well and treat him like you would want to be treated.
I know to many people around here who work thier hired men like dogs and
treat them the same. They have a revolving door of employees.

It took me awhile to wake up, 4 bypasses, a new grandson, and the realization
that I am married to the most wonderful Gal on earth. I am finally starting to
open my eyes.
