Delta Airlines believed this move would save them nearly 300 million a year in fuel costs. If you bought Delta stock the day of the announcement, it was trading around $11.00ish. Flash forward twenty seven months later and the stock is now $39.00ish. I think a 254% gain for their shareholders is nothing to sneeze at. | |
