Depends if it is an electrified wire or not. Non electrified just goes around the post, loosely stapled to hold vertical position and crimped back on itself.  Electrified HT goes through a bull nose insulator as pictured in my link above and crimped back on itself.

Same at corners or gate ends. For electrified HT wires at corners I leave enough tail of the wire beyond the crimp to reach over the corner to the other hot wire and crimp the tail to the other hot wire tail continuing the electrical connection.
