But seriously, seems like there's a decent sized area in north eastern Champaign, northwestern Vermillion, southern Ford, southwestern Iroquois counties that lays over the Mahomet Aquifer that could benefit plenty from some irrigation. Although I've got to admit, as this project gets closer to completion I'm a bit more skeptical of it's payback than I was when we started. Maybe just plenty of rain and markets going down, I don't know. From guys I've talked to, seems there is no middle ground, ones with pivots are adding more as fast as they can and guys without don't think they'll pay.
