Kingston,Mi
Messing with border guards usually results in spending sometime having everything turned inside out before they leave you to repack. A very Christian educator that worked summers in our office had the pleasure of that experience when he was ask where do you live. His answer of "in a house" rather than the actual city wasn't the correct answer, so he and the entire mini-bus full of squeaky clean young Christians were instructed to pull over into the inspection area at the Blue Water Bridge in Sarnia Ontario. When they parked, every one was instructed to unpack, unroll, unfold every single article in their respective suitcase. When the Canadian Customs had it all spread out on the concrete before them, they said pack it up and be on your way. Clair was careful after that when talking to officialdom. Dad said he observed a camper trailer being carefully inspected in the same lot when he and Mom where headed to my grandparents for vacation, the agents where watching a couple unload and unpack everything. Humor or attempts at humor are not appreciated by the agents on either side of the border.
