Nothing wrong with VT2P or SS. The issue here is the corn is RR only no protection from corn borer or earworm which is probably what happened here. Earworm fed on the corn early than the beetles which are secondary pests have moved in and started feeding/hollowing out kernels where the earworms left off. Next year if you want to plant an early season hybrid to come off earlier make sure to have at least VT2P to protect against earworm feeding. | |
