All a matter of taste, I like steak unseasoned. Others like marinade on everything, some of the best porkloin I ever had spent the night in apple juice was rubbed with salt, pepper, garlic powder and smoked. Left rest and coated in some kind of homade bbq sauce that was thicker than cornhead grease.
