So sorry to hear that your friend was not doing well.    But,  very glad to hear that you did get to visit with her.    You did the right thing by reporting what you believe is happening.    My MIL lives in AL and the people that work there are all saints and angels.     When you said bruising  I was guessing she had been falling.     Refusal to use walkers and canes or knowing that you need to ask for assistance are ways that seniors end up falling.      Hope an investigation will be the Karma the niece needs.    My the Lord see it to give Viola some peace.
