Att/Yahoo is my ISP, so I am paying for the email account.  They have been saying for about a year that everyone should switch to the improved email service.  They recently switched those that did not voluntary do it.  They have reduced the size of the screen dedicated to emails to put the advertisements on the right side of the screen.   The only improvement I can see is that you can page though emails now with the right/left arrow keys.

I have noticed that DuckDuckGo returns easier to use information than Yahoo.  For example, if I am looking for a specific drip irrigation hose spec, I get the drip hose manufacturers site first.  I used to have to sift through pages of dealers for technical information.

If ATT/Yahoo is putting adds on your email page it is a free account Even though you pay for an ISP the email account is a free account and it makes no difference who the ISP is. You are only paying to have internet delivered to your computer not for email. I have an email account with my ISP and the only messages I get on that account is from the ISP when they want to inform us about something. My ISP is a DSL connection through our local independent telephone company.
