NC IA | I've got an 87' with the 350 TBI, same motor as in your 89'. I had issues with rough idle and random backfires. I chased it for several months. I rebuilt the throttle body, new coolant sensor, new O2 sensor, all new vacuum lines (did help a little), new plugs. new air cleaner, messed around with the EGR. I swore that plug wires were fine since they looked pretty new. Finally ended up putting a new cap/rotor and new plug wires on and that fixed the problem. | |
