Best brakes we have an a wagon are J&M disc brakes, surge actuated, on the back 2 wheels only. From what I understand, they didn't make them for too long a period of time due to the extra expense. Have to deactivate them, by flipping a bar on the tongue, if you want to back up loaded or empty.
