a 2 inch common pump with a china stolen engine, 2 inch suction and discharge, 2 inch screen and next to it a check valve...Shouldn't be loosing prime when moving the pump and/or hose....not to be smart and mouthy but guys who haven't been around these small contractor pumps many farmers use to fill their sprayers...Sit your pump as closr to the water level as you can 'without getting hung up'.
