Subject: RE: 30' toolbar on tracks

Morris, IL
Yeah i might just do that, I halfway priced a 9 ton montag lift assist so i have an idea and it's not as bad as i would have thought. Could go with big wheels and change out to tracks later because i know that would shoot the budget to heck alone. I've been wanting to do something like this but this is first factory type build unit i've seen. Frame like that along with a Redball tool bar could outlast a lifetime of different strip till row units. I really like that a lot, thanks for posting the pictures scmn, kind of modeled after your rig isn't it?

You got an idea in mind on the weight spilt. Looks like 95% of dry fertilizer weight will be going to wheels or whatever you mount it on, if you have a 12k lb. tool bar is it spilt 50/50 or more on the tractor?
