CS_307 - 4/28/2014 11:07 Actually it is not a federal law. There is still a farm use exemption in Ohio also. You do not need a CDL to operate a truck in Ohio for farm use as long as the plates are farm also. As the other poster said you are supposed to stay within a 100 mile radius of the address on the registration.



Farm use exemption even over 26,000 ? Dont know about Ohio, but here, that exemtion would only work under 26,000, with no air brakes, as in straight truck.
