Its almost unbelievable that myth still exists. That rule never existed. The original reference to radius travel has to do with log books, NOT the CDL requirement.

ANY truck over 26,000 lbs REQUIRES the driver to have a CDL(and any applicable endorsements). Doesn't matter how far away from home you are, or if it has "Farm" plates. That is a federal law, not a state law.
