Subject: Semi Truck Licensing for CDL'd and non CDL'd drivers

I am sure this all has been discussed before....

We are in Iowa.

we farm seperately but I have 1% ownership in dads corp (for estate planning purposes) so technically i have "ownership" in his grain

I am trying to do on the "cheap" insurance (non commercial)

question 1
I have a class A CDL and bought a semi tractor for hauling our own grain. My dad has no intention of getting a CDL, but is there a legal way for him to drive it? can he get a chauffers license an call it good?

question 2
am i better licensing it in his name or my name? (i am the owner and its insured under me)

question 3
what all do i need to put on this truck for labeling stickers?

question 4
for 5000 miles per year do i need to have a log book?

thanks
