Subject: 2006 case 590 smII loader/backhoe

North Dakota

Been looking for a good loader/backhoe for a few years, but have too many jobs lined up to overlook it anymore. Found a 2006 case 590 smII locally with 1100 hrs, ride control, pilot controls, x-hoe, aux hydraulics, quick coupler and powershift transmission.  Have read in a few heavy equipment forum posts that cases' powershift sucks.  Also some say it is okay, and they have had trouble with John Deere or Cat transmissions.  Don't know what to think.  Will be used to dig up tree stumps, bury tree piles, dig out old foundations and bury, tear out fence, fill old refuse pits, culvert work and in near future I hope make tile connections.  Would appreciate any info good or bad.  Need to make decision or look elsewhere.
