Paxton, IL | I need to update the software on one of my FM1000's. It's currently running version 7. Have many people upgraded to version 8 to know if it's working well or not? I was planning on going to 7.3, but saw that version 8 was out.
Also, I have another FM1000 that I'm going to use on my planter. When I hooked it up, it told me that there is newer software for the rate and section control module and the seed monitoring module. I'm running 3.05 and 2.05 right now and it seems to work fine. Is there any reason I should upgrade the modules to the newer version? I just don't want it to keep prompting me to update all the time. I've never updated modules either, and I wasn't really sure on the process of doing that.
I used a FM750 on the planter the last couple years, but recently got another FM1000 that I'm using now. If I update the modules, would it still work on my FM750 if something happened and I had to throw it back in the tractor? | |
