Subject: too cold to plant?

We have planted about 15% of our corn in the last day or so at it is starting to get dry enough.
But, here in western Ky, the weather is supposed to have a high in the 50's and lows in the forty's most all of next week.
Maybe you guys up north are used to that but that seems too cold to me for an extended period to be planting, especially with the soil still on the wet side,
what say you? thanks...
