Independence OR | I have one field of canola this year. It is a new crop for me and am wondering about a few things. First is when do I need to sprsy for seedpod weevils, and we're should I be scouting for them at? And second is should I spray a fungicide if I need to spray at bloom. My crop is at full bloom or a little past that now, and I can find no signs of white mold. The field has never had a white mold susceptible crop planted in it, so I am not to worried about a huge problem. Am I thinking wrong? I would rather not spray it if I don't have to. I already had to fertilize with the plane since it started bolting before it got dry enough to get into the field with the ground rig. I am really happy so far with the way it is looking. I have two varieties planted, both are non gmo hybrids from Brian Caldbeck.
